Event Structure

Category - 1

Phase 1: Teams should submit a two page abstract about the prototype or software. The abstract should include the following details


  1. Brief idea about the project.
  2. Detailed description of the approach and the components used in the prototypes.
  3. Details about the software, hardware used and the technical specifications like the platforms required and Operating systems etc.
  4. Mention the marketability and the social aspects of the problem addressed.

The abstract should be submitted as per the IEEE standards. The abstract shall not exceed more than 3 A4 pages. It should be submitted in .PDF format only.

Phase 2: Teams should present working prototypes of software or hardware. The prototypes can be in any of the areas of computer science, electronics and communication.


Category - 2

Phase 1:Teams need to submit a technical paper abstract on any of the following topics:

  1. Operating Systems
  2. Software Engineering
  3. Computer Networks
  4. Embedded Systems
  5. Digital Signal Processing
  6. Digital System Architecture
  7. Nanotechnology
  8. Computer Algorithms
  9. Artificial Intelligence
  10. Software Testing
  11. VLSI
  12. Image Processing
  13. Radio Frequency Engineering


Phase 2: Selected teams need to give a presentation about their paper.

Rules

Rules for phase-II

  1. Each presentation should have duration of 8 – 10minutes exceeding which leads to deduction of marks.
  2. The presentation starts at 1:30pm.
  3. Plagiarism leads to immediate disqualification.
  4. The presentations should be done in Microsoft Power Point 2003.
  5. The presentations and the paper should be mailed by midnight of Feuary 6th.
  6. The paper should be in IEEE format and pdf document should be submitted.
  7. Category 1 participants should present their prototypes or demonstrate their models.
