Be a part of this mega event and keep the audience mesmerized by your graceful moves. Just let your ?foot loose? in the cosmos of dance, and create history with your captivating rendition.

Event structure

  1. The event has a preliminary round. The evaluation criteria for the prelims are same as that of the final round.
  2. Event is divided in three categories Solo, Duet and Group.
  3. The prelims for the event will be held on the first day of Synapse.
  4. The final performances for all the categories will be held on the second day of Synapse.
  5. FOR all the categories there will be only one round, based on your own theme.
  6. Team Size Group: min:6 ; max: 15
  7. Time limit (curtain to curtain)
    • Group: Max- 8 min & Min-6 min
    • Solo: Max- 6 min & Min-4 min
    • Duet: Max- 6 min & Min-4 min

Rules

  1. Every team will be provided 3 mins for prelims and minimum of 50% of the group members must be present at the prelims.
  2. Classical or folk dancing is not allowed.
  3. No live music allowed.
  4. In case any extra Stage arrangement is required please give prior notification at least 10-15 days before the event.
  5. Indecent activity on stage will not be tolerated.
  6. Prelims round is compulsory for all the teams and no wild card entry will be provided.
  7. Dance ordering made by the event coordinators will be final.
  8. No props will be provided. Teams may use props if they want, for which prior permission from the Coordinator is necessary. Negative points for props usage without permission.
  9. Team performing in prelims and final round should be the same.
  10. Required sound track must be submitted in MP3 format at least 6 hours before the performance in CD only.
  11. One member of the team should sit with sound technician or computer operator.
  12. The CD should include details about the Team Name and College Name also written on the CD.
  13. No LIMIT on the number of teams from a college.
  14. Teams should bring their own portable music systems for Practice.
  15. Negative Marking for exceeding the time limit.

Judgement Criteria

  • Choreography (Steps + Concept +Originality)
  • Presentation (Costumes + Stage Glamour)
  • Coordination (Synchronization + Chemistry between the team members)
  • Execution (Expression + Stage attitude + Stage utilization)
