  A Workshop on GPS-Satellite Controlled & Solar Robotics will be held on 12th-13th February, 2011 by Robosapiens India.

  This workshop is dedicated for making autonomous robots using a microcontroller. The workshop also covers basic concepts of electronics, C programming and solar robotics. Students will also learn to design a Satellite Operated Robot with GSM wireless connectivity. After the workshop, a student will be able to come up with various autonomous robots like Line follower, Edge Avoider, etc.

  DA-IICT is a zonal centre for Robo-Opus'11. A Robotic competition (only for workshop participants) is going to be held on 26th Feb'11 during Synapse'11 which will be preliminary round for Robo-Opus'11. Prizes worth Rs. 5000 & more to be won.

  Winning Team will be given wild card entry in the finals of Robo-Opus'11 on 3rd-6th March'11 at IT-BHU during TECHNEX'11.

  Prospective Speakers

  Mr. Pradeep Sharma

  Founder & Managing Director of Robosapiens.
  Qualification: B.Tech
  Experience: 2.5 Year in TCS, 7 years in Robotics & Related fields
  Achievements: Hold Patent on `SSBMC' under Indian Patent Act 1970.
  He has delivered Robotics Workshops in almost all IITs and NITs.
  

  Mr. Aman Sethi

  Head Advisory Board Mr. Aman Holds B. Tech from G. B. Pant University of Ag & Technology Pantnagar, and MBA from NMIMS-Mumbai. He is also vastly experienced in Robotics & Related fields

  Fees

  Registration fee includes kit price + Tutorial fee per participant.

  To register as a team of

  • 4 members: Rs. 1350 (Rs. 550 + Rs. 800) per team member
  • 3 members: Rs. 1500 (Rs. 700 + Rs. 800) per team member
  • 2 members: Rs. 1800 (Rs. 1000 + Rs. 800) per team member
  • For single participant registration fees is Rs. 2600 (Rs. 1800 + Rs. 800)

  NOTE

  For students willing to attend workshop and DON'T WANT THE TAKE AWAY KIT registration fee is Rs. 800

  Participants having a valid ID card of their respective educational institutions are eligible for Solar Robotic workshop.

  Robo-Opus'11

  Robo-Opus'11 is an initiative by Robosapiens India in association with Technex'11 IT-BHU towards Robotics. It's a National level Robotics Championship to be held on 3rd-6th March'11 at IT-BHU during TECHNEX'11.. Winning team of the robotic competition which is to be held on 26th Feb during Synapse'11 will be given wild card entry in the finals of Robo-Opus'11. Prize money worth Rs. 1 Lakh to be won.   Robo-Opus Zonal Guidelines

  1. You have to make a line following autonomous bot.
  2. The colour of the track will be black over white background.
  3. There are no acute angled curves.
  4. There will be breakage in the path which will be marked by a perpendicular intersecting line at the point of the breakage as shown below. When bot encounters such a point it should continue to travel straight.
  5. Starting and ending points are same.
  6. Thickness of the line will be 1” with 10% error margin.
  7. There will be some check points, each marking different kind of ability. For every check point there will be separate points. More checkpoints you cover, more points you get.
  8. Points will be cut if any wheel except at 90 degrees intersection touches the line.
  9. Maximum two chances will be given to the participants with deduction of points for second try. Once in the arena you will not be allowed to touch the bot. If you touch the bot while in the arena, it will be considered as a attempt to retry and accordingly rules will be applied.
  10. At any time the potential difference between any two points of the bot shall not be above 18 V.
  11. Motors can have max 200rpm.
  12. Team can consist of max 5 people.
  13. Apart from path speed, other factors like algorithm and innovation in design of bot will be given good weightage. Only propagating through the path is not enough.
