A football team named Excogitate has three pivotal players. The overall performance of the team in any match revolves around these three players. They are Mr A, Mr B and Mr C.
Mr A is a defender, Mr B is a midfielder and Mr C is a striker. The team always plays a 4-4-2 formation.

The team will score a goal if and only if any of the following conditions is fulfilled (assuming initially the ball is with the Goalkeeper):
The goalkeeper always passes the ball to any one of the defenders, the defender always passes the ball to any one of the midfielders and the midfielder always passes the ball to any one of the strikers.
The pass here means a successful pass and the ball reaches to the intended player. i.e. there are no interceptions.
The goal is guaranteed if any of the above conditions are met.
Objective: Derive a Boolean expression for the team Excogitate to score a goal.
Express the expression in terms of A, B and C (here A, B, C stands for)
Hint: The judgement criteria would give preference to the models which use minimum of gates.

There will be three phases:
The participants would be required to submit a Boolean expression satisfying the given problem statement. They need to submit a small write up explaining how they arrived at the expression.
The co-coordinators will read the abstract and approve the idea that is to be worked upon. This is basically done so that a group can know that they are proceeding in the right direction. Teams would be allowed to participate in the final event only if their abstracts are found satisfactory (according to the rules given).
The selected participants are expected to prepare a working model for their expression. They would be given a time period of 5 days for the same. Each team would be given a desk to showcase their models on the final day. All teams would explain their respective models to the judges verbally.

Working model: would be notified
According to submissions the participants would be notified individually ASAP.
First phase would be reviewed by co-ordinators under the guidance of the faculty mentor.
Working Model would be judged by faculty mentor and his decision would be final.
